Group Therapy is a method of counseling wherein members have an opportunity to share concerns with other group members and work together to reach a better understanding of oneself and one’s problems.
Each group is led by a well trained psychologist and sessions are scheduled on a monthly/bi-monthly basis.
A group maybe formulated in two ways:
- Members dealing with a specific issue such as Alcoholism or Single Parenting may come together to discuss and share ideas for coping.
- Members dealing with a variety of issues may come together and attend the sessions in order to gain a support system.
